A welded H beam is built up from three steel plates joined by continuous submerged arc welding (SAW). The result is a section with a straight web, parallel flanges, and a smooth weld bead. Because it is welded rather than rolled, the web height, flange width, and plate thickness can follow your drawing exactly, including tapered and variable depth members. We use Q355B as the standard grade. It is a low-alloy high-strength steel with a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa,
